Buddhist Temple in Germany celebrated Poson Festival on
07-06-2009.
It was on a Poson Full Moon Poya day Arahant Mahinda Thera arrived Sri Lanka and established Buddhism.
Sri Lankan community in Bonn celebrated this great event out of high respect. A devotional song singing event,
High precept (Sil) observation program took place under the guidance of Ven. Thalpawila Kusalagnana.
An illustration of Mihintale (the mountain on which Arahant Mahinda Thera landed) was erected in the
temple premises. The drawings are done by Sri Lankan Artist Mr. Buddhika Samaraweera.
